One of my favorite purchases recently is this canopy for our bed! It's magical.
Our headboard was brown and I painted it cream to match the decor.
My uncle made those posts and my aunt painted them! We have one on each side of the bed.

It's been quite a challenge trying to make an apartment feel less like an apartment and more homey. However, I've enjoyed the challenge:) There is still a lot to be done, but here are some pictures of the decorating I've been up to! As you can see, I'm a big fan of the "Shabby Chic" look. It's my faaaaave! (My poor husband...)
