35 Random Facts You Probably Don't Know About Me


1. My favorite smell is coffee.
2. I used to play competitive golf.
3. I like any cereal with marshmallows in it.
4. I used to be a part of a program called "PIPS" (Players in Progress) where I learned lots of basketball skills (like how to spin a basketball on my finger) and would perform during halftime at basketball games.
5. I like video games (Halo and Donkey Kong Country being some of my faves).
6. I used to take Jiu Jitsu.
7. My favorite food is chicken and dumplings.
8. I haven't always been super girly. I used to wear Nike t-shirts and basketball shorts and hang posters of Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa in my room.
9. My favorite snack is Chester's Flamin' Hot Fries (but I had to stop eating them because they make my stomach hurt too bad).
10. I once died my hair jet black.
11. When I was younger I wrote lots of raps in hopes to one day be a rapper (that didn't work out).
12. I won't watch scary movies. I just won't do it.
13. I have collector Barbies from when I was little that I've never taken out of the boxes (maybe they're worth something now?).
14. I started taking piano lessons when I was 6.
15. My husband is the only guy I've ever been on a date with (and I'm thankful for that).
16. I got hit by a drunk driver and broke my collarbone when I was little (I got to ride in the ambulance and they gave me a teddybear).
17. When I laugh really hard my nostrils flare in and out (my husband makes fun of me for that).
18. I have an unhealthy obsession for Krispy Kreme (the chocolate glazed are my fave).
19. My favorite movie is "Father of the Bride" (1 AND 2).
20. I used to work at a place called "Libby Lu" where I did little girls' hair and makeup.
21. When I'm bored I make up songs about random objects that I see when I look around the room.
22. I once got hired to dress up like Hannah Montana and perform her songs at a birthday party.
23. I used to be a softball pitcher.
24. I never read the books in high school, just the spark notes (woops).
25. I asked Jesus into my heart on Thanksgiving day when I was 6.
26. I used to be a huge Plus One fan (that was the only fan letter I've ever written).
27. I used to collect American Girl trading cards (I have every one ever made).
28. I once busted my head open on a rock and had to get staples (they couldn't do stitches otherwise they would've had to have shaved my head...no thank you).
29. I used to want to be a stand up comedian (but then realized I didn't have any good jokes).
30. I helped coach a softball team a couple years ago.
31. My favorite type of cake is angel food cake with chocolate icing.
32. I'm allergic to cats.
33. I used to be a cheerleader for a homeschool basketball team (super cool, I know...).
34. My favorite part of the day is in the morning when I get up to read my Bible and have coffee (I look forward to it every night when I go to bed).
35. I daydream. A LOT.

  4. Btw, could you write some words about how you put Christ first in your day-to-day routine? I'm a new Christian without any Christian friends, and no Christian network so I'm longing for some practical advice on how to serve in my daily routines! For instance, I see from this post that you read your Bible every morning, so some of the things I'm curious about is whether you follow a reading plan, or if not, how do you choose which book to read? Are there other acts of worship you do everyday? Any tips on prayer? etc.
