Hey Friends!
My husband and I have an awesome opportunity to help out with a really great project! I've attached 2 documents below that explain exactly what the project is about. Please take a look at them and see how you might can help!
We're very passionate about what the organizations, Free for Life International and Both Hands, are doing. I have only recently become aware of all the sex trafficking going on around the world (even in our own city). It is absolutely gut-wrenching to hear the stories of these precious girls being treated as if they are worth nothing. Through this project we also have the opportunity to help widows around our area! James 1:27 tells us to look after orphans and widows and that is what the organization, Both Hands is all about.
" 'For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in, I needed clothes and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you came to visit Me.' Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?' The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.' " -Matthew 25:35-40
This is such an awesome opportunity to help out both sex trafficking victims and widows at the same time! It's so easy to get caught up in our own little lives and we forget to look around at all of the needs of this world. God shows us ways to join Him in His work. How cool is it that He wants to use US?!
Please let me know if you would like to help out by donating to help raise money for shelters for these sex trafficking victims. The biggest need in helping the girls is money. Without money to provide a safe place for them to stay, for clothes, and food, they end up back out on the streets. Let's do everything we can to help restore these girls' lives!
Pray how God wants you to respond. Thank you SO much for taking the time to read this!
-Ash
